About the Event
Proudly brought to you by Lake Country Health, this four-week book club initiative will start on Tuesday, February 8 and will continue until March 1, 2022.
The focus of this book club will be on mental-health and well-being, and the book to be discussed is Easy Crafts for the Insane, a witty biography of Kelly Brown, in what she describes as a funny memoir that touches on mental illness. A key theme in Brown’s book is that although the world may feel like it is out of control, making things can help create joy and accomplishment.
We all have a story to share, and the book club will give participants a space to share their experiences and to listen as others share their stories.
To really appreciate and learn from Easy Craft for the Insane, it is important that all readers aim and commit to attend for the full duration of the book club.
All participants are expected to obtain their own book, whether by purchasing the book or borrowing from the library or a friend. Registration is required and free - We regret no drop-ins.
For more information, please call the Lake Country Health office at: 778-215-5247
*TRIGGER WARNING: the book will cover topics of depression and suicide
