Grief is a natural response to loss. Whether you are grieving the death of a loved one or another significant life change, grief can affect every person differently. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and everyone's experience is unique.

At Lake Country Health, we believe that no one should have to navigate grief alone. Our Grief Peer Support Group provides a welcoming space where individuals can connect with others who have experienced loss, share their stories in a respectful and non-judgmental environment, and be part of a community where members support one another through the challenges of grief.

About The Group 

Our Grief Peer Support Group meets every second Friday for facilitated peer support and conversation. Together, group members explore the many realities of grief, offer encouragement, and learn from one another's experiences in a compassionate and supportive environment.

This is a peer support group rather than a counselling or therapy service. While our facilitators guide the conversation and help create a safe space, the strength of the group comes from the shared support, understanding, and connection between participants.

Participation is always voluntary—whether you choose to share your thoughts or simply listen, you are welcome.

When: Bi-weekly on Friday afternoons in Lake Country from 1:00-2:45pm

Before joining, we will have a brief one-on-one intake meeting. This provides an opportunity for the you to learn more about the group, review the groups guidelines, ask questions, discuss what you are looking for, and explore how we may be able to support you.
