Volunteer Navigator

Help older adults live with confidence, independence, and dignity by becoming a Volunteer Navigator with Lake Country Health.

What You'll Do

 As a Nav-CARE trained volunteer, you will;

  • build meaningful relationships with older adults who are living independently or in a caregiving situation.

  • regularly visit

  • listen and get to know them

  • understand what matters most to them

  • help them identify their goals, needs, and priorities. 

  • provide compassionate support

  • connect individuals with community programs, health and social services, and local resources that can enhance their quality of life.

Why This Role Matters

While you won't provide medical care or counselling, your guidance, encouragement, and friendly presence can make a significant difference by helping older adults feel informed, empowered, and less isolated.

Training Provided

 Training is provided, giving you the knowledge and confidence to support clients in a meaningful way.

Time Commitment

Flexible, with visits every 2–4 weeks and a commitment of six months or longer
