Tax Support Volunteer

Help make tax season less stressful by assisting community members with preparing and filing their income tax returns through the Canada Revenue Agency's Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP).

What you'll do

As a Tax Support Volunteer you will...

  • help older adults and individuals with modest incomes to access valuable tax credits and benefits they may otherwise miss.

Is this Role Right for You?

This volunteer opportunity is ideal for individuals who are already familiar with preparing Canadian income tax returns and are comfortable using tax preparation software. Volunteers play an important role in providing accurate, confidential, and respectful service to clients during tax season. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to helping others are key to this role. 

If you have experience preparing taxes and are looking for a meaningful way to use your knowledge to give back to your community, we'd love to have you join the Lake Country Health volunteer team. 

Time Commitment

Seasonal during tax season (March–April) 

Typical Commitment

Approximately 4 hours per month during March and Aprils.
